What is DreamDust?

DreamDust Expo [DDX]

DDX is a biennial online event, aimed at bringing Caribbean creators together to exhibit their work within the field of animation. In this space, the community displays a range of personal projects such as games, comics, merchandise, short films, etc.

DDX not only showcases talent but also offers an opportunity to learn from and network with industry professionals through various presentations. This includes live/recorded panel talks, demos, and collaborative activities.

DreamDust Community

DreamDust was conceptualized by a group of young Jamaican professionals, in the animation industry, and hosted its first-ever expo in December 2020. Following the event, the team realized that the community it attracted could benefit from a dedicated space that allowed for continued growth and networking. To facilitate this, the Discord server which was used to host some of the expo’s events was opened to the community in January 2021.

Live Streams and tutorials are held weekly on the Discord and there are dedicated channels for communication, critique, collaboration and co-working. Find out more below!
