Burnout is a short animated film based on the feelings and expressions of mental fatigue caused by overwork and stress. The film hopes to relate to creatives who have fallen out of love with their craft and long for the passion they once had.
Burnout was originally a final-year project. This version focuses on updating the quality of the final Act of the animation and correcting any mistakes or miscommunications from the original film.
Layla
Our main character is a depressed and burnt-out fashion designer who overworks herself to the point of suicide.
Baby Layla
Layla’s younger self who she encounters in the first layer of her subconscious world. Baby Layla is the age at which Layla first grew a love for fashion design and symbolizes Layla’s love for the craft.
Evil Layla
Other Layla is almost the same age as the current Layla and looks exactly like her in reality. This is the age Layla falls out of love with her craft and has nothing but hate for fashion design and herself.
